We received a phone call the other day from a gentleman who has leaking in his recently installed metal roof.

It was a poor job to say the least.  The decking needed to be changed to ensure integrity of the roof replacement, but that didn’t happen!

Upon closer inspection, we discovered that they essentially installed the roof backwards….YES! IT REALLY DOES HAPPEN!

Because of that, we wanted to drop 3 Pro Tips that you need to look for when selecting a roofing contractor:

Go Local

They should definitely be a local company.  If you play with fire you’re going to get burned.  Even if they are a nationally known company, but don’t have a local office…BUYER BEWARE.

The common concern here is the warranty.  If they’re not local, response times will be delayed…and if you have a roof problem, you need a quick response!

Communication Is King

In roofing, communication needs to be king!

Did they return your phone call/text in a timely manner?

Did they send the documentation you asked for?

Did the salesman say one thing, but the foreman say something different?

Communication is paramount to every relationship, especially in a business relationship. If you find these things missing or notice red flags early, it’s time to run!

Price Is Everything

They tell you that price isn’t everything…we disagree! Listen, you get what you pay for!

Obviously, we don’t suggest taking the highest bid, but we would be concerned with the lowest estimate.

Price matters because you want a quality roof: bottom line.  When we bid a job we bid based off of the quality of roof components and the quality of our crew we utilize.

So it’s not only the quality of material you’re paying for, but it’s always the quality of craftsmanship that’s installing your new roof.

We realize that this is a big commitment and investment…not just into your home, but also into your family.  Because of that we offer a free 15min roof consult where you can get all your questions answered and have peace of mind moving forward. [Tap here to schedule that]
